Summary

Running plug-ins with FileMaker Pro 9

In general all our plug-ins that worked with FileMaker 8.5 still work with FileMaker Pro 9. See below for the details on specific plug-in versions.

Running plug-ins with FileMaker Pro 9 and Mac OS X

FileMaker Pro 9 for Mac OS X is (just like FileMaker Pro 8.5 ) a Universal Application and can run natively on PowerPC and Intel Macintoshes. However, when FileMaker is launched on Intel Macs, it only loads Universal plug-ins. It does not load PowerPC plug-ins. Therefore all plug-ins need to be Universal plug-ins. Troi has converted its main plug-ins to these Universal versions.

The same plug-in architecture

The plug-in architecture has not changed in FileMaker 9. So there is no need to change any function calls when converting to FileMaker 9 (as compared to the change in plug-in architecture introduced in FileMaker Pro 7).

Overview of Troi Plug-ins for FileMaker Pro 9

Here is an overview of all our plug-ins that are native and have been tested to work with FileMaker Pro 9 (and also FileMaker Pro 7 and 8.x). Note that this is based on preliminary test results.

No updates planned for other plug-ins

At this time we are not going to update the following plug-ins. Note that most of the current versions should also run in FileMaker 7, 8.x, 9 (Windows and PowerPC only):
