Press releases News                                      ©2000  Troi Automatisering		Troi Automatisering releases Troi Serial Plug-in 1.0b1 for FileMaker Pro   Alphen a/d Rijn, The Netherlands, January 14, 1999 -Troi Automatisering today announced the release of the beta version of Troi Serial Plug-in 1.0b1, for FileMaker Pro 4.0 (or later) on both on Mac OS and Windows. This plug-in gives FileMaker Pro the ability to read from and write to the serial ports of the computer directly from FileMaker.   Peter Baanen, company president, states that "This plug-in brings you easy and powerful access to all the computer's serial ports, and works completely cross platform. If you need access to any serial port this plug-in will do it".   Key features of the Serial Plug-in are:   Support for high speed connections up to 230 kbps. Unlimited number of serial ports can be opened. Buffering of data up to 64k per port. Dispatch Scripting TM can trigger a script for data entry into database. Clear sample databases and a user manual to get started quickly.   Suggested uses of this plug-in are connecting to a modem, custom switchboard dialing, caller ID, credit card swiping and data transfer.
